A small street in Wuerzburg, Germany, has a new attraction: “Knitting art” at traffic signs and trees. This kind of street art has its origin in the United States. The artists are the inhabitants of 8 retirement homes in Wuerzburg. They took many hours to produce their colorful work. “Always when I could not sleep I have been knitting”, says a woman. For the older people that work has been not only a nice and satisfying activity but also motivation to make the best out of their days. Nowadays tourists and visitors from all over the world are taking pictures of that unique and colorful street art.
