Yaffah Kanfitine, Painter, Lomé

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERAI visit the Togolese painter Yaffah Kanfitine in his small studio in Togo’s capital Lomé. He specializes in contemporary art and started with painting in the year 2000. He never attended any art school.

“I am an autodidact”, he admits. Yaffah is 32 years old and was born in a small village near Lomé. “It is very difficult to live of art”, he says. “But being a painter is just the dream of my life.”KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERAHe is always looking for special topics. Now he chose education. “All the school pupils have their own history. That is what interests me.”

“For the future I love to exhibit more internationally, specially also in Europe and USA.”

 

 

Claudia-Laura Zigman, Painter, Brasov (Kronstadt)

P1150984 (Large)Claudia-Laura Zigman started her first exhibition in 1995. “In my art I put biographical issues as well as my special working techniques. Besides I wish that my audience recognizes my sensibility, my special way of being an artist and the combination of different colors.”

She studied at Sibiu art school from 2000 til 2003.

P1150980 (Large)Claudia-Laura admits that she is restless, always looking for new inspirations, always searching for her way. In 2010 she got the first prize for her work The tin horse, honored by the city of Brasov (Kronstadt).

Till august 15, 2013 she presents in Brasov (Kronstadt) in the Galeriile de Arta her new exhibition The ninth sky. She cannot describe by words what she wants to express with her paintings full of fashion, beauty and melancholy. “This exhibition shows how much I like my freedom as an artist”, admits Claudia-Laura. “My pictures are a story without beginning and without end. I am still creating it!”

Ionela Mihai, Painter, Târgovişte

P1160043 (Large)Ionela is a student of Mihai Șerbanescu and is participating in the group exhibition in Sighisoara. After completing art school in Târgovişte she studies engineering in Bucharest. But: She dedicates her life to colors. “I like to express myself by colors”, says the 21-year old painter and talks about her dreams: “Later I would love to live in Portugal or Brasil. Yes, in Brasil! Because of the carnival and the colors, which are magic. For me!”
